Dr. Sherin Khalil studied medicine in Frankfurt am Main and dentistry in Göttingen. She is currently working in the Department of Cranio- Maxillofacial surgery at the University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland. Scientifically, she was a member of the research group for 3D digital technology for facial surgery and now for biomaterials and bone regeneration in the Department of Biomedical Research (DBMR). With this background, she recently extended her research interests to artificial intelligence.

Ralf Huss is currently working as a pathologist. Managing Director of BioM Biotech Cluster Development GmbH in Munich. Previously, he was founding director of the Institute for Digital Medicine at the University Hospital in Augsburg and held numerous positions at national and international universities and pharmaceutical companies, including at Roche in the field of biomarker development. Together with the physics Nobel Prize winner Gerd Binnig, he developed AI-based algorithms to improve cancer diagnostics and an improved therapy response in cancer medicine. Prof. Huss has edited and published numerous specialist articles and books on this subject.

Dr. Markus Krämer has a background in Medicine and Business Administration and holds an MD from the University Clinic Charité. After working for 2 years as a physician and various positions in banking and consulting, he is active within sales organization of Siemens Healthineers since 2010. In his current position he is responsible for global headquarter offers and project development with a focus on Middle & Central Asia, Africa and Latin America.

Nisrin Khalil is a professional with 8 years of experience in the private sector. She started as the Director of the German Liaison Office for Industry and Commerce in 2016, promoting German trade and investments and advising on business-related topics. In 2022, she launched her own business, leveraging her extensive network and expanding the office's services. Nisrin Khalil holds a degree in Economics and International Management and has lived in 8 countries.

Carsten Drebenstedt is a doctoral mining engineer and the director of the Institute of Mining and Special Underground Engineering at the Technical University of Bergakademie Freiberg. After 17 years of work in the German mining industry and international consulting, he was appointed to the university in 1999.

Prof. Dr. Walter Frenz is a university professor at RWTH Aachen University, where he is head of the Department of Mining, Environmental and European Law. His rese-arch focuses on mining-, climate protection-, raw materials- and energy-law.

Dr. Olaf Drusche joined the sustainability team at FLSmidth Mining Technologies, based in Essen, Germany, in September 2022. He supports FLSmidth's efforts to implement the MissionZero programme. MissionZero is FLSmidth's sustainability programme to reduce emissions in cement and mining to zero by 2030.

Olaf Drusche holds a PhD in Mining and an MBA. Over the past 20 years, Olaf has worked in various companies and positions, all related to mining and mineral processing.
In addition to his work at FLSmidth Mining Technologies, Olaf is a lecturer at the Georg Agricola University of Applied Sciences in Bochum, Germany, in an international master's programme for the modules

Oliver Parche spent almost two decades working for the Network of German Chambers of Commerce (AHKs), collaborating with German institutions and having access to influential figures in business, politics, and local governments. He also served as Director for NUMOV e.V. and had various roles such as a speaker, moderator, author, and columnist, focusing on vocational training, international conferences, and the economic situation in the GCC region.

Dr. Norbert Völker is a multicultural educational innovator, who lives his unwavering commitment to improving educational infrastructures in Germany, Europe and emerging countries. He leads the “Skilled Workers for Africa” initiative of the European Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers Industry Association VDMA.

Dr. Nurettin Tekin, a graduate of mechanical engineering at University of Aachen (RWTH),
Germany. He wrote his doctoral thesis with focus on „Numerical and experimental
investigation of innovative cooling technology for gas turbine application” also at Aachen
University. His professional career started as project engineer with focus on FEM and CFD
analysis of gas and steam turbines. After several years of working, he starts to work as a
project manager at Kawasaki Gas Turbine Europe in the field of gas turbine package
development of gas turbine classes from 1.8MWel to 34MWel, explosion protection
(ATEX) and gas quality analysis. Since 2020, he is working as hydrogen product manager
for Kawasaki and responsible for hydrogen project development including all topics related
to hydrogen products, starting from production, storage, transport and utilization of
hydrogen.

Ms. Kirstin Ulrike Hoeren holds a postgraduate degree in Insurance and Surety from the University of London, complemented by a Diploma in International Economics earned at Fachhochschule Köln. Her career is marked by a wealth of international experience, having worked with trade companies in Richmond, CA/USA, and the German American Chamber of Commerce in San Francisco, CA/USA. She serves as a Senior Advisor in Trade Finance at Euler Hermes Aktiengesellschaft, specializing in Export Credit Guarantees.

Stefan Moritz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in EU-funded economic development projects and international networks throughout Europe. With a background in construction, he co-founded AREA EUROPA scarl and served as its CEO for 15 years. Stefan's leadership journey continued as he became Secretary General of European Entrepreneurs CEA-PME in July 2022, representing the organization and promoting entrepreneurship and economic development in Europe.

Haitham Hasan Al Subaihi serves as the Acting Executive Director of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office (ADIO). In his current capacity, he leads the development and implementation of strategic plans to promote Abu Dhabi as an investment destination, attract innovation-led companies and facilitate their establishment in the Capital. He also manages ADIO’s network of offices in key international markets, working closely with the Abu Dhabi ecosystem to support long-term, sustainable investment opportunities in the emirate for global businesses.

Before joining ADIO, Haitham served as the Executive Director at Mubadala Health, and headed the Capital Health Screening Centre, where he played a key role in increasing the company's market share through a physical network expansion with branches in Al-Ain and Ruwais. Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Sales at Etihad Airways where he successfully delivered the company’s commercial targets and launched a number of strategic customer attraction and retention initiatives.

Haitham holds UK graduate degrees from Richmond American International University and the Open University. His extensive experience in various leadership roles make him a highly effective leader in the field of investment and economic development.

Dirk Richter, MD, PhD is Senior Advisor and Director “Health Sector Innovation” with the Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DoH) and associate professor of surgery. His key responsibilities in DoH is supporting entrepreneurs as well as corporate life sciences companies from all over the world to implement innovative solutions in Abu Dhabi and evaluate new technologies. Dr. Richter is leading the DoH team in HUB71, Abu Dhabi’s innovation hub.
Before joining DoH, Dirk Richter worked in the top management of different healthcare providers, with A.T. Kearney Management Consultants and in the beginning of his career as a trauma surgeon and researcher

Harry is a certified Project Manager (PMP), and an independent Chartered Engineer (CEng.) with more than 35 years of experience in large-scale energy and water utility projects in developing countries, including SE Asia and MENA in addition to New Zealand and Australia. Harry has been involved in more than 40 large- to mid-scale projects with hands-on experience in feasibility studies, project economic evaluation, design, installation, and commissioning of power generation, transmission, distribution networks, and seawater desalination.
- Harry is the co-founder of Iraq Climate Change Centre (IC3+) a think tank based in Baghdad which deals Iraq’s climate change main challenges in 21st Century.
- Harry has worked for major international engineering consultancy firms including WSP (Parsons Brinckerhoff), AECOM, and Power Engineers Inc in different capacities. He was also appointed by many international organizations including the World Bank, USAID, and USTDA to work as an advisor on several development projects in Asia and Africa.
- Harry’s research interests include energy economics, policies, and reform in post-conflict states. He is an advocator of reforming the electricity sector in developing countries and introducing PPP as a way to resolve acute power shortages. He is regularly interviewed by mainstream TV media in the Middle East including i24 News, CNBC Arabia, and others on the development of the energy market in the region and globally. He is an invited speaker and panel moderator for many energy forums and seminars.
- Harry has published more than 30 op-eds, articles, peer review articles, and conference papers in energy and think tank journals including Brookings Institute, the Atlantic Council, Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, Power Engineering International, and the Electricity Journal.
- Harry’s most recent job assignments included senior advisor for the former Iraq Minister of Electricity and senior Advisor for PPP projects at the Kuwait Electricity and Water Ministry Head Office.
- Harry holds a BSc, MSc in Engineering, and Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Auckland in New Zealand. He is a professional Engineer in New Zealand and the UK.
- Harry is fluent in English, Arabic, and Armenian.
